Jack hoffman passed away.

His opportunity to run in the spring game is probably my proudest moment as a Husker fan. You can say whatever you want about Bo Pelini but that was one thing he undoubtedly got right.

The kid fought long and hard, and it's unfortunate the reason his fight is over but hopefully his loved ones can find solace in the fact that he doesn't have to fight any more.

And Texas cancer.
I agree, Turd.

Bo's finest moment as HFC at DONU, IMO.

Not sure about the rest of you, but my family and circle of friends have lost too many to this scourge.

May God bless your family, Jack, now that you are home with Him and your Dad.

Best Husker Touchdown run:

A) Tommie Frazier's amazing "how many tackles can one man break" TD against Florida.
B) Johnny Rogers' "Holy moly, man, woman, and child did that put 'em in the aisles" punt return against OU.
C) Jack Hoffman's spring game TD run.

Correct answer: C: Jack Hoffman's spring game TD run

Prayers for Jack and all who knew and loved him.

With NIL and the Transfer policy, going forward, it will be rare to see relationships like this develop or examples of team commitment like happened with Berringer. Many players won't stick around long enough for these bonds to develop.

Not so sure … look at Hutmacher and Robinson. Good guys always will be around.

Thank you note from Bri Hoffman on Caring Bridge.

Thank you all for the many years of prayers for Jack and our family. Jack passed away on January 15th and we find great comfort knowing where his soul is at. He was able to start the medication we wanted to try and never complained, even though he could see himself losing the ability to walk, talk, swallow, etc. We are grateful for all of the milestones he was able to reach. He had a wonderful high school graduation celebration and he loved being at UNK. And he even got to wakeboard again after brain surgery.

We are heartbroken and although it's easier to focus on the things that we had hoped Jack would be able to do (graduate from college, get married, have a family), we are focusing on the things he did get to do. We have many friends that have a much longer wish list for their children that they will never get to see.

So we will continue to fight this devastating disease, honoring Jack and all of his friends who greeted him in heaven with Andy. Thank you for supporting our mission and our family.

With so much gratitude,

Bri, Ava and Reese

2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
