I haven't posted in years, just been busy with life I suppose, moved to Iowa, got re-married in 2017, 2 grand kids, retired last October, still a Husker fan for 56 years.

It's been frustrating time since Bo has left. This is the first year that I have vowed not to drink the kool-aid aid, I'm keeping my expectations low and hoping for the best.
I like Rhule, just not overly confident that he can make my Huskers great. I'm hoping he will, because starting over sucks.

After over 20 years of football disappointment, it is hard to be confident about much. A lot of people (like me) insist on a "prove it to me" moment. A small bit of hope is about all we have going into the new season.
 
Grats on your retirement. I’m hopeful to do that in August 2027.
It’s a roll of the dice as far as the Huskers go. Let’s see it is what I say. The opportunity in front of them is fantastic, if they could somehow take advantage.

Sometimes life has a way of helping us put things in perspective. Sounds like there’s been a lot to live for your way.

Welcome back, I do not post as much as I once did but I hang around on he fringes. Enjoy retirement and the grandkids but go ahead and drink the Kool AId I have plenty for you should you need some.

Congrats on the life changes. I feel the same. I've been off the board more than on for quite some time. Some of my earliest memories are sitting on my Dad's lap listening to the radio broadcasts on Saturday afternoon. Break from farming to listen to Lyell Bremser. Been a long time since "confidence" was part of my dialogue as a Husker fan. Living in KS for the past 20+ years has been tough. This year, I will be happy for wins but expectations are out the window.
