Is Fidone going pro?

I don't see Fidone being able to make an NFL roster at this stage. He's never been the same post-injuries . . . which sucks, but that's just reality. He doesn't have his speed or moves anymore and he doesn't seem to block very well. As others have noted, he was overtaken on the depth chart and Carter Nelson likely starts to really come on next year, so Fidone's going to be even further on the outs.

Hate it for the kid, because he had all the hype and tools coming in. Once you lose your knees, it doesn't tend to work out very well.

This and the loss of Boerkircher is why I think we need to target a big framed TE who can catch and block.
 


Holgorsen saw Fidone for what he is; a wounded football player. unfortunatley,,
HCMR kept him in the lineup because he was a local kid and did not want to make anyone mad.

Often guys turn the rumor forum into a place where they sort of guess at stuff. But your post belongs in a forum where people just throw out random bs not based on anything.
 



On this board and other boards esp, TF has taken a beating from fans. I think thats unfair. TF is a good solid TE. Hes missed some blocks, but hes made some big time ones too. And hes caught a lot of passes downfield for us, esp when needed.
This year hasnt been his best. At times hes been misused and had some errors.
Maybe he should be splitting time some, etc, etc.........but hes had a nice career and I applaud him for how hes been loyal and fought injuies and been a leader.

Another “local player” cheerleader! A good coach would have never started him.
 


What in the world would make anyone think Fidone was capable of playing tight end in the NFL. He can barley keep his job on a 6-6 college team.

Great example of bad advice: I remember that kid out of Scottsbluff that went Pro after his Jr year (DE) after having a decent year. Not sure where he is today but it is NOT on any type of Pro Football team. He was practically begged to come back for his final year as he needed it but he didn't listen.
