Iowa vs Nebraska in Houston's Toyota Center, 3/26, 6:30 PM CDT (TBS)

I hadn’t heard that and I still believe Frager’s injury changed the trajectory of this season—he doesn’t look 100%.

I think it may have been the mental aspect of it..

Trust me, it can get in a players head that driving in like that could result in another injury.

I actually went through that with my daughter. She had a mean first step and would ALWAYS beat her player, they would try to get into position but they would always trip her because they were too slow. Every time! She even got a concussion from being tripped once.. it got to the point that she didn't want to make that first move because she knew what was coming.

For those who have been on the officiating, yes, that late substitution bumble was yet another one. A team can only play less than 5 players if they have injuries or players are disqualified (fouls). That was on them to make sure it was 5 on 5. Additionally, you can't run onto the court once the ball is in play, the whistle should have been blown and a technical for that. So basically, 2 times they dropped the ball on one play.

I think it was a pretty good sprain, and even if no ligaments were torn, it can take 6 months to a year to feel back to normal. I also think there is a little twinge in his mind that he's going to land on someone's foot on his jumpers and when he drives. When you know a guy is coming off injury like that, you kind of crowd them a little more, because you know it's in their head.

Iowa basketball is really on the rise—give them credit. They are going to be a top team in the BigTen for the years to come. I just hope Fred can recruit some good players to keep us competitive.

We shall see how they do without Stirtz. But, it was a complete shocker that McCollum had only Koch returning and fielded a team that made the Elite 8.
