Right now is the best time of the year to catch large crappies. They should be moving into the shallow, especially under wooden boat docks, near fallen timber, etc. A small crappie jig and/or a small shiner minnow should be money.As I have mentioned in previous posts I have not been into fishing very much. I have quite a few friends that go fishing at the lake quite a bit, everyday. . Crappie seems to be the fish they are trying to catch. They have Bass tournaments there all the time. This year I will try to change that. I have always been a catch and release type of fisherman. On another note, I'm an excellent master Baiter.

Fishing from shore or boat?Walleye bite was good in Chamberlain SD last weekend! We didnt catch much but it seemed everyone around us was doing ok.
