In the top of the 2nd, Indiana had two base runners due to an error and a walk, but they had 0 runs.
0-0 after 1 1/2 innings.

Buettenback with a 2-run HR. NU leads 2-0 after 2 innings.

In the top of the 3rd, Indiana had 1 hit, but no runs. 2-0 after 2 1/2 innings.
NU with 2 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd. NU leads 4-0 after 3 innings.
In the top of the 4th, two Indiana batters received walks, but no runs were scored. NU leads 4-0 after 3 1/2 innings.
NU leads 5-0 after 4 innings.
In the top of the 5th, Indiana had a runner at 2nd after a double, but he was stranded there. NU leads 5-0 after 4 1/2 innings,
The score remains 5-0 after 5 innings.
The relief pitching rears its ugly head again. NU leads 5-4 after 5 1/2 innings.
NU scores one run in the bottom of the 6th. NU leads 6-4 after 6 innings.
Not one of our better games tonight offensively or defensively. Indiana scores one run and NU leads 6-5 after 6 1/2 innings.
NU does not answer in the bottom of the 7th. NU goes scoreless in their half of the inning, and the score is still 6-5 after 7 innings.
In the top of the 8th, the Hoosiers go 3 up, 3 down. NU leads 6-5 after 7 1/2 innings.
MU goes scoreless in the 8th. Going to the top of the 9th with NU up 6-5.
