I'm thinking pork belly Cubanos or chicken and waffles

My wife and SIL are taking their last "sister trip" of the year to Cedar Point this weekend, leaving me unsupervised. Saturday morning will consist of taking the pups for a hike, hitting the range with my new toy and then, settling in for the game. After the game, I'm hitting the kitchen but I haven't decided what to make. Right now, I'm thinking smoked pork belly Cubanos or chicken and waffles but I haven't decided for sure, yet. I'm also kicking around the idea of baja fish tacos but if its just me, that might be a bit much. I'm ashamed to admit just how little I BBQ'd this year so I really should do the pork belly but chicken and waffles sound really, really good. What say you?

After the game Saturday, I didn't have the heart to put into BBQ so I went with chicken and waffles.

The waffles were like fluffy pillows (I love that flippy waffle maker) of deliciousness. I fried chicken thighs in a cast iron skillet with my trademarked house seasoning (I like it spicy), nestled them onto their waffle pillows and then drizzled them with a house made maple-butter reduction. I fried up some chopped bacon earlier in the evening and sprinkled that over this insanely delectable culinary masterpiece to take it from 10 to ZOMG!!!.

They were delicious.

I was by myself but my pups can attest to their tastiness. ;)

I always appreciate your food porn entries here.
Thanks, food is one thing that I generally don't manage to screw up (I won't mention the first batch of chicken from Saturday night, though). I'll try to get the pics posted up.
