If we lose to....

On one side you have an experienced Div 1 coach, with a more solid team against an inexperienced coach with a total ground up rebuild project.

I would have to go with Nebraska in this one, if I was looking at things from the outside.
The BUILD will be on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball for Dion. The players he brought from Jacksonville State were soundly defeated by a three win Tulsa team last season. Nebraska was 4-8 last season but they’re a Big Ten football team.

Games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage and with the loss of so many Colorado linemen on both sides of the ball I believe the Huskers are head and shoulders above CU.
Our O-Line lacks depth, we are just an injury or two from having to play a true freshman.

Our D-Line likewise lacks depth and is equally unproven.

On paper I agree that we should be better than CU but not materially so IMO.

Huskers start with 14 scholarship linemen Colorado maybe 6-7 ( including freshmen)and on defense it may be even more. I’m not sure there’s much of a comparison.

Lowest price ticket, $375.00 . Lower deck price, $562.00 ..... bargain !!!

I bet the next game in Folsom (9/16), the lowest price ticket ...... 375 CENTS.

HC Prime .... ALL SHOW, NO GO
He will flop! I am 100% sure of that. You don't come into this level of football, or any sport for that matter, like Rick Flair and dance around the ring and expect people to not look at you as an absolute freak show.

15 D-Linemen on our roster including 6 freshmen.
5 D-Linemen on CUs roster with 1 freshman

19 O-Linemen on our roster including 9 freshmen. (2 freshmen listed as OL/DL).
10 O-Linemen on CUs roster with 2 freshmen.

That presumes the roster on CUs website is accurate.

As many have pointed out, we have a clear advantage of depth pretty much everywhere. Plus, he won at JSU with some D1 talent sprinkled around lower division help. While we have our problems, we ain't NC A & T or Alcorn State. Want to see his son get ready for the defense we have. Would not be surprised to see his back up in this game. And not because the sCUm is blowing us out.

Like the Skers in this game, much to the chagrin of ESPN and their lovefest for Sanders and the Vermin

I think Deion will have at least modest success there. His flashy style will lure some talent.

I'm not sure a mass exodus of players from a 1-11 team is all that big of a deal.
As long as you can replace what you lost, then there is a better than average chance the talent will be better than what left. Can’t be a whole lot worse.

Too much is being made of this game. I expect Nebraska to win, but frankly both teams will enter the game as unknowns with only the openers having been played.

I’m a lot less concerned whether Rhule’s team wins in Week 2 than I am in seeing evidence that they continue to improve as the season goes along.

That evidence was thin with Frost’s teams, and I think that alone will let us know we’ve got a sharp staff.
