What seasons were that?
2022.
We identified as the Cal Golden Bears last year.
What seasons were that?
If we lose to Colorado, after all the talk Husker fans have done about Deion, we will never heard the end of it from CU fans... and deservedly so.
We lost to Mel Tucker. And an awful CU team. Not sure losing to Deion would be worse. If we lose to Colorado, after all the talk Husker fans have done about Deion, we will never heard the end of it from CU fans... and deservedly so.
Except they’re WR1, TE1, and multiple offensive and defensive line starters left. There are always good and great players on bad teams, bad coaches create bad teams. Just like us having guys from a 3-9 team get drafted in the 2nd and 3rd roundsI think Deion will have at least modest success there. His flashy style will lure some talent.
I'm not sure a mass exodus of players from a 1-11 team is all that big of a deal.

I didn't say it would be. I'm just saying that many Nebraska fans have a cringeworthy obsession with Deion and the Buffs. We have our own issues to worry about. We lost to Mel Tucker. And an awful CU team. Not sure losing to Deion would be worse.
How many of the 40 or so players that recently bailed do you think might be great good or great players? Hard to put a number on that, I know, but I don't think too many of them. Would be interesting to see where they all end up and how much success they have post CU.Except they’re WR1, TE1, and multiple offensive and defensive line starters left. More than you’d think. They’re scholarship P5 players for a reasonHow many of the 40 or so players that recently bailed do you think might be great good or great players? If he can get all of those new players to come together as a team in the few weeks of fall camp that he has he’s an instant legend.Colorado after the mass exodus that they have had so far since "Primetime" took over, I don't know what the rest of the year would be like...By my count, Colorado's now lost all 4 QBs who threw >20 passes, 3 of 5 RBs, all 9 players targeted >8 times, 5 of 8 OLs and 7 of 8 DLs with >100 snaps, all 4 LBs with >200 snaps, and 12 of 17 DBs with ANY snaps.Thats a LOT of players...I know he's brought in a bunch, but can he put it together for this year or will it be in the"future" year or two???
Games are won and lost on the line of scrimmage and with the loss of so many Colorado linemen on both sides of the ball I believe the Huskers are head and shoulders above CU.There‘s a lot to like from the spring game but there is also a lot to be concerned about for NU … turnovers, lack of depth on OLine, youth of the DLine, new system, new coaches … we are not heads and shoulders above CU.
Could we win? Sure.
Should we win? Yes.
Will we win? Maybe.
CU appears to have solid skill players, their weaknesses appears to be depth, that may not be a factor early in the season. CU is liable to have the best QB on the field when we play them. It’s a road game for us and will be CU’s home opener. Their fan base will be in full bloom and the game is liable to be on TV, possibly an ESPN GameDay event.
