Back up space heaters and electric blanketsWork with a lady (she loves fishing) who moved from Omaha to Mccook, she says the lakes down east are mostly fished out.
The igniter on my furnace went out last night (-2F) Chilly night inside too
You got directions to that body of water? Asking for a friend...10 inch gills and 12 inch crappie.View attachment 78317
Wife and I are looking at moving back to Nebraska also. I'm from McCook but looking at the area's around Omaha. Bennington, Elkhorn...etc. Really only thing kind of holding us up is the reality of the astronomical property taxes in Nebraska. I had forgotten about those. Wow.
Looks like some pretty good fishing around there though.
Private ponds. I was invited by my fishing partner and can't divulge. Sorry! You got directions to that body of water? Asking for a friend...
There are several sand pits north of Holdrege and to the west, they're private but I've heard the ice fishing is phenomenal at times. You got directions to that body of water? Asking for a friend...
Once I own a diesel I will pull the boat out there, it's a fitting lake for me, and heard it has good fish.Used to fish at Swanson a lot years ago.

Only been to Holdrege once in my life and I didn't even make it to the Tower. Every conversation since where Holdrege gets brought up I get asked if I made it there. Apparently I missed some quality entertainment...There are several sand pits north of Holdrege and to the west, they're private but I've heard the ice fishing is phenomenal at times.
