They are crazy to be out there with the weather we have been having. I was going to try and get up there for some fishing in early January but I’m going to postpone until February.
Up here at Okoboji (NW Iowa), the major lakes are still open. Saw a few boats out the last few days.
This far north you're likely to be OK, but may end up having to walk or four wheel it. No real snow on the ice, so no insulation from the air and ice will thicken quickly.
