I found some locally for $.99 lb so I think I'll be doing some this weekend, myself. Since I got that Weber Kettle I haven't given my drum smoker any love so I'll be firing up the big boy this weekend.
 



I've frozen the finished product many times but never an uncooked butt. Have you? What is the impact on the flavor, if any?

I've heard that it ruins everything.

On a less dramatic note, I don't know that it would have a huge impact on anything. I don't know, however.

LOL. Thanks, BB. I think I'll hold off on freezing any until I do more research. It would be incredibly disappointing to smoke one for guests and have it turn out crappy.
