Huskers Host Dayton, Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, 8:30pm CST, ESPN2

Harper had 22 kills
Hit .315
Had 16 digs
Lexi had 22 digs.
I think she needs 2 more games to break the record. I think someone tonight said she needed 48 to break the record. If so, she would need 26 more!

It wasn't pretty but it was probably the type of game they needed. It's tough playing your A game the entire tournament, so if you're going to have an off game this was the time to do it and still get the win.

Was somebody sick? In the post game press conference someone asked Cook a question but you couldn't hear who it was about, and Cook just said he didn't know and they took her away.

Overall I thought they were a bit flat. Even so, game balls to Lexi for 22 digs and good (not great) back court leadership; Harper for her nice (again not great) double-double, 22 kills and 16 digs

Hopefully they got the iffy game out of their systems.
Doesn't leave one with a lot of confidence, the way they were playing in set 3. Shades of PSU and SMU. It's almost like they felt sorry for Dayton after they lost their setter. But it's good that they closed out set 4 with the hammer down. I'm sure Cook gave them an earful.

Lindsay was sick -- they just found out 30 minutes before the game and told her to go home.

It just goes to show you that even the elite of the elite are human too. Better for this to have happened against Dayton than our upcoming opponents.

Coach Cook will have them ready and the team that performs the best on the court should win.

It will be fun to watch.

Merritt is the puzzler. Seems the team follows her lead. She struggled against PSU also. Hope she gets it right on Sunday (and beyond). Maybe she's getting the same bug Lindsay has? Hope the team is healthy. Need them at 100% from here on out.

Beason had 3 kills and 4 errors on 21 swings. There is no way to sugarcoat it, that is just plain bad. It got so bad it appeared that after the second set Reilly just stopped setting balls to Beason. Beason had maybe a handful of swings in those last two sets. This might have been Beason's worst game as a Husker.

We need Beason to play well on Sunday. She was a major part of the two wins against Wisconsin. If Beason plays on Sunday the same way she played last night, I don't think Nebraska will win.

I kind of wanted t see Tx win so we could have another shot at them but it really doesn't matter; just beat the next team and the next.........
