Huskers #3 In New Top 25 (4/13/26)

WOW!!! Huskers ranked # 1 in this 4/20/26 poll. The other three ranking services likely won’t agree when released tomorrow, but this is way cool.
As I thought, the other three services rank Nebraska lower, one at #3 and two at #4, but with just two series left in the regular season, they should be a lock for hosting a super regional if they get through the regional they will host.

Oregon taking 2 of 3 from UCLA is not good from the standpoint of having the league get two teams hosting super regionals. The losses likely knock UCLA from the top 8 seeds, but doesn’t quite do enough to get Oregon to a top 8 seed. Maybe if one wins the conference tournament.
I’m thinking the top 8 will be 5 SEC teams, and Nebraska, Tech, and FSU.

The Huskers finish number two in all four of the “end of regular season” polls. They are set up well for both the conference and NCAA tournaments. Oklahoma is #1.

Oklahoma is #1, but I always thought their early season schedule was pretty light. I saw a computer rating the other day and it had Oklahoma at #6, it had Nebraska at #4. I thought the computer may have looked a little more at strength of schedule.

Yea, the updated RPI has Oklahoma at #6 and NU at #3 after Arkansas and Alabama. RPI heavily rates SOS.
