My problem with Ok as #1 is they haven't played anyone. They took 2 of 3 from #20 LSU and 2 of 3 from #4 Tx, other than that they've had a cupcake schedule.
Good point. If they do well in their next three series against top SEC teams they will have deserved it.
Neb softball 14-1 in B1G. WA 15-0 but still to play UCLA 16-2 & OR 13-2.
Neb outscored Wis 23-2 this series. UCLA did IL 45-1…ouch. B1G down to Neb & westcoasters.

Right. And UCLA has WA and OR, and OR has WA and UCLA, and Huskers have none of those or #5 Indiana left. I like our chances to win the regular season.

Volleyball perhaps the best team ever, we will see
Men's Basketball preseason top 20
Women's basketball perhaps being overlooked with. Brit Prince and a very talented roster.
Wrestling, bowling, rifle team, and I'm sure I'm missing something, all excellent. Even women's flag football apparently has hired two of the most successful coaches in the country in that young sport.
And then there is Men's football...
Can anyone imagine Tom Osborne being in the same chair as Matt Rhule, looking at the incredible success of the other coaches in the Athletic department and NOT being THE GUY?
All of that being said, Nebraska football certainly has provided the seed money for the growth in all of those sports. It is responsible for the pride that fans and boosters have in our University athletics and inspires the NIL money and donations that are necessary for a top performing, top recruiting Athletic department. Still Matt must feel the heat. He is on the outside looking in. And just maybe his team's recruiting has benefitted from the overall success of the other sports. We will see.
