The Nebraska track and field team begins its 2015 season with the annual Nebraska Intrasquad meet on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Indoor Track at 2 p.m. Fans are invited and will enjoy free admission to watch the Huskers compete for the first time this year.
[h=1]Tupper leaving Creighton volleyball for NU track[/h]
Tupper, the Lincoln Journal Star 2014 Prep Girls Athlete of the Year, is leaving the Creighton volleyball program and transferring to Nebraska second semester to throw the shot put on the women’s track team.
Tupper was a first-team Super-State volleyball player as a senior after leading Class A in kills in 2013. She’s also a three-time Class A state champion in the girls shot put
Tupper will redshirt this spring, giving her four years of eligibility remaining for track.

The Nebraska track and field team concluded the Holiday Inn Invitational with nine more individual titles on Saturday before 1,936 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Indoor Track. With their four titles on Friday night, the Huskers finished the weekend with 13 total first-place finishes.
Marusa Cernjul was named the Big Ten Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, following a career-best performance over the weekend.
Cernjul cleared a personal-best 6-1 1/4 (1.86) in the high jump on Saturday to win the Mark Colligan Memorial title at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Indoor Track.
Her mark is tied with two others for the top mark in the nation this season. The 2012 Big Ten Outdoor high jump champion also moved into a tie for fourth on the all-time top-10 indoor list at Nebraska.
LINCOLN, Neb. - Cody Rush set the 400-meter indoor school record for an exciting end to the first day at the 40th annual Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Friday night.
Rush, a junior from Grand Island, sprinted to a time of 46.32 in the last of 10 heats in the 400 meters to win in dramatic fashion and bring the Devaney Center crowd of 1,349 to a standing ovation
The Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational concludes on Saturday with the men’s heptathlon slated to start things off at 10 a.m. The running and field event finals will begin at noon.
GENEVA, Ohio - The Nebraska men's track and field team took home its first Big Ten Track and Field Indoor Championship on Saturday evening, running away with the trophy with 127 points at the SPIRE Institute.

The Big Ten Network will air tape-delayed coverage of the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships at 9:30 a.m. CT on Saturday, March 8.
LINCOLN - The NCAA Track and Field Committee released its list of accepted entries into the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships on Tuesday night. A total of 10 Husker student-athletes will compete at the national meet March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Ark.
Representing the Husker men will be Oladapo Akinmoladun in the 60-meter hurdles, Ricco Hall in the 200m, James White in the high jump, Steven Cahoy in the pole vault, Cody Rush in the 400m and 4x400 relay, along with Jake Bender, Levi Gipson and Drew Wiseman.
For the women, Marusa Cernjul will compete in the high jump, and Ellie Ewere will compete in the triple jump.
The 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships are set to start on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. (CT) and will continue on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. ESPN3 will stream the meet live on March 13 and 14 starting at 6 p.m. CT. A tape delay of the championship will air March 23 starting at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
