Grand Canyon, spring of 1978, on the Tonto Trail west of Bass Canyon. This was a UNL Outdoor Recreation Dept. trip led by a great buddy of mine. I had graduated in '76 but took a one credit hour course just to be eligible.

In the tiny town of Ellsworth, just off of highway 2 in the beautiful sandhills.
Guns, gun smithing, clothes, boots, lots of merchandise and post office.

Today was a perfect day to ride the black hills.
Absolutely beautiful country!

I've been on every road in the black hills on my bike. Took about 8 years over time to do it.
Just another small goal in my life that I accomplished

Stopped at firehenge, near Kadoka SD.
If your into fire porn, I guess you need to stop.
Its basically a advertisement for, Firehouse Brewery.
The owner made this happen.

Also a dog park with fire hydrants.
The owner calls it Doghenge,

Just watch out for rattle snakes
