I think you have to be a subscriber to see the rankings. Where are the Big10 schools? Has Penn State finally signed anyone? That program is in trouble.

Penn State not in top 50 yet Indiana and Minnesota are. Nittany Lions are slipping hard.

Typical for them...not many recruits committed yet....I wouldn't read to much into that....they always finish fast....

You used to see where they have all 117 teams (or so) ranked. Now it appears you can only see the top 50.

Last I saw CU had only 5 recruits. Would be interested to see where they are ranked (snicker...snicker...snicker).

Whereas most of you will learn to forget all about CU, I will always hope for bad, bad things to CU. I love living in Colorado....except for the CU fans! Blaaaaaaah!

Updated Rivals rankings has Nebraska down to #8.

I couldn't really care any less where Nebraska ends up in the final rankings. It's all subjective and depends on the number of recruits you take, among other things, so schools like Clemson (currently ranked 5th) who have 23 kids will always be ahead of other schools who have less (unless you mix a 5 star or two in). What I think matters is the average stars.

To think where Nebraska was just 3 years ago and to see them today. WOW.

Ave Stars:

Nebraska 3.50
Ohio State (#9) 3.39
LSU (#6) 3.53
USC (#7) 3.47
Florida (#10) 3.47
Georgia (#15) 3.44

All of those teams have either played for, or been in the serious national championship picture late in the season over the past 5 years. Sure, OU, Texas and Alabama's ave. stars are still a bit above Nebraska's....but a ton of progress has been made.

In the 2008 Class, Rivals ranked Nebraska #30 with an ave. star rating of 2.96. The teams I listed above:

Ohio State (#4) 3.85
LSU (#11) 3.58
USC (#8) 3.89
Florida (#3) 3.82
Georgia (#7) 3.67
