Put my hummingbird feeders out with one part sugar and 4 parts water. They eat mosquitos by the thousands and cute little dickens as well.

Too cold here yet, no leaves just buds on trees, though the grass is mostly green now.

It’s hummingbird season all year. Had one yesterday buzzing around my head while I was in the yard reminding me to make some more food. He was a beautiful bright burgundy head with a iridescent green body.
Getting a lil geeky here, hummingbirds are so small and there metabolism is so high, thus the sugar diet they can't handle cold at all.
They remind everyone on labor day here to take down their feeders so the birds naturally start heading south in time.
