Almost? No, IMPOSSIBLE. Even win, 50-50 chance to finish a few Coaches poll votes (not top 25)
Nebraska will be fortunate to even get votes in either poll with a win.
I’m pretty sure @SierraRed post was meant to be a joke.I think it would have to be a massive, dominating, blowout by Nebraska for us to receive any "Others Receiving Votes". A 7-6 team would rarely be considered by voters. I'm not saying it isn't impossible for Nebraska to have that kind of success in the bowl this year, but I'm not planning on it though (but it would be fun, wouldn't it).![]()
Gotta wonder that if BC doesn't upset Notre Dame at the end of the 93 season, TO gets his NC a year earlier. I believe ND would have gone to OB instead of FSU and I think Huskers would have beaten them.Pretty important and N had better be ready to play! BC is known for its upsets! We don’t need a “hail Mary” ending!!! GBR
Ehhh, I can. At minimum, should have been two more wins, and I can argue more.I don’t think anyone could say at 7-6 and a bowl victory that Rhule hasn’t had a successful season. That was a big win and we played great defense.
I’m guessing our recruiting is helped quite a bit with the optics. Outside of special teams, I think we have a really good staff next season.
Didn't watch the game but just watched the recap. I was very close to being right on the money: NU nearly blundered away a game they should have won by a mile. Not arguing your post or trying to purposely berate you so don’t take this personally. I was a little surprised this came from you based on your posting history. I think it’s understandable though.
The importance of a win versus a loss is less people souring on the koolaid in the manner this post did. And this includes the players. A win and players and fans see the light. A loss and it’s still a heavy fog.
