The Holiday Bowl won't be played in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic

The game has been held every year since 1978. It's the fourth game that won't be held this season because of the pandemic.

I wonder if it will just end up being the "New Year's Six" bowl games that get played. Hopefully there will be some other bowl games besides those six.

What is interesting to me ... is that of the 36 sanctioned FBS bowl games there are 4 in California

LA Bowl, Redbox Bowl, Holiday Bowl and Rose Bowl. I suspect all but the Rose Bowl will be cancelled.

This is such a strange year. I have a feeling this may be just the "reset" that Husker football needs. Players and coaches that have a true passion for the game and what it takes to prepare will be rewarded in 2020, 2021, and beyond.

Yeah, I'm not surprised by these bowls canceling given where they are located. Places like Texas will still have them I bet.
