With the commitment of Watts to Notre Dame today Mike Schaefer and Steve Wilfong flipped their CBs to Nebraska

His Dad Jeff is the OC/RB Coach at Baylor

Visited Nebraska on June 1

Has a really nice offer list including Penn State, Ga Tech, and Notre Dame

 

Could end up being the glass half full result of losing Watts to Notre Dame. Nixon is a two-way standout who wants to play receiver in college. The Irish were higher on his list, but want him as a DB. Now that they have Watts, they aren't considering him there like they were before - had they missed on a few guys higher on their board. Nebraska really likes Nixon, though.

Very physical runner who fights for every yard. Can also lineup at RB if the need presents itself. A one cut guy who gets up the field in a hurry. All around player who catches and blocks and does everything else in between. Not flashy but does the small things well

Maybe a recruit for the Duck-R position ?

Still dislike that Oregon term -- needs to morph to a Husker term as time progresses with good results on the field.
