I really thought he'd started to decline a few years ago and was on his way out. He proved me wrong. Not sure how much longer he can keep it up, especially when difference makers like Gronkowski aren't on the field with him.

Brady’s been consistent in saying he wants to play until 45. He’s been to three straight Super Bowls without the injury issues Gronk faced (which was the reason I never picked Gronk for my fantasy teams) so you can’t really argue that he needs to retire.

His wallet is in good shape, his brain is apparently still intact, he's a known entity and can attract some employment attention, so yes, this is a perfect time to hang up the cleats. He created a new interest in the TE position that had started to fade, and he did it with personality.

I thought the Chiefs had the best tight end in the league last season until Gronkowski caught that pass over the Chiefs' Eric Berry to keep the drive alive.
