My second favorite voice next to Lyle Bremser RIP Husker Great
I was intending to post just this. I couldn’t agree more. We have lost a legend. GBR and RIP.

He spoke so well that Longtime listeners feel like they knew him personally, that makes it hurt just a bit more. God Bless you Greg

It does hurt. The phrase "missing a friend you've never met" going around is exactly how I feel, too.Yep. Definitely going to miss him. This one hurts. Rip Greg
So true. I only saw a quarter of the games on TV. The rest were with Greg and Damien. He was so professional in an enjoyable way. His last game I heard was the first time I detected a very small sign of it being hard for him and felt like Damien was trying to make it easier for him. Don't think I would've noticed at all if I wasn't aware. That's something. It does hurt. The phrase "missing a friend you've never met" going around is exactly how I feel, too.
Thing is, I think Greg knew what he meant to Husker Nation, and he scratched, clawed, and kicked his way to finish the '24 football season. He seemed to feel a sense of responsibility to get the word out for as long as he possibly could.
Allergies again, reading all those testimonials. Damned good man, Greg Sharpe. Won't be another like him.![]()
