Good feelings

Regarding HH, Rhule/Satterfield are putting in the effort. Whipple didn’t even try.
I agree. Knowing the offense they wanted to run they should have moved him to tight end or asked him to transfer. He isn’t a passing quarterback. Quite truthfully he probably wouldn’t be here as a quarterback had everyone else not transferred.

He just wants to crap all over the thread. Best to just ignore him.
Another valuable contribution. Do you ever add to threads or just go around crapping on posters? Personally the discussion I’m having with @Brew City Husker is well informed discussion on both sides. Disagreeing isn’t a bad thing on discussion boards. But you be you.

How many times are you gonna say "but this is a good feelings thread, so keep on having those good feelings"? It's tiresome and just goes back to your general persona. Any time anyone has anything positive to say, you come in and dump a pile of crap on it. Crab mentioned it earlier in the thread that there are some people who can't help but do it.

And your contributions the last few weeks involve a horribly stupid defense of Jim Harbaugh. Sometimes it's best to just say nothing at all.

I do think he would contribute more at a different position. Unfortunately, since all other experienced QB’s have left the program he’s going to need to stay at QB, at least in some capacity. Maybe he would contribute more as a QB if the previous staff had made the effort to coach him. Maybe he’d contribute at a different position if the previous staff had moved him to a position that better suits his skills and athletic ability. By all appearances he’ll give a passionate and full effort to contribute in whatever way he is asked to contribute. I admire him for that.

He's earned that. One of the best examples on the team, a thing TO recognized, brought home and payed off and MR noticed big time.

And yet you can't argue any of my points being wrong in any of these discussions. Just different from yours and you have been attacking me for 3 years on it because you only wanted the positive vibe SF posters. You haven't changed any. This board is about discussion on BOTH sides. You running around rarely providing any discussion but beating on posters that are on the opposite side of want you want discussed is hardly appealing.

Hey I have no problem with HH and am glad he is staying around. I think its just a little radical to try and blame his poor play on not attending some meetings under an old coach. We really seem to be stretching the koolaid making that connection. He is about to be under his 4th different quarterback coach in college alone and can't seem to get a delivery above the shoulder. Maybe we should stick to that as the problem rather than sitting in a meeting.

My impression is that the “delivery above the shoulder” issue is a manifestation of inattentive and/or lazy coaching…..and I’m not absolving Satterfield from some responsibility here by any means. Whipple ignored the poor kid and, based on Rhule’s actions, we needed an upgrade at QB coach, which Rhule has addressed. Hopefully Glenn Thomas will coach all of the QBs on the roster and we’ll have significant improvement in QB play.

You seem to be undervaluing position group meetings. I think that you actually realize the importance of them to coaching and player development but you are underplaying them to make a point. That’s fair, and I understand the point you are making. I just don’t entirely agree with it.

A coach can't coach if you arent there. Anyway you slice it.

Would HH benefit from QB meeting room sessions? I hope so.

Would he benefit from Coach Thomas tutelage? I hope so.

My issue with HH who is a Husker pure blood is he is not a QB who can win the game when it is on the line nor will he ever be one. He is a fish out of water which is not his fault. He took the most sack per pass attempt this year because he can not read coverages even though he is a mobile QB who should not have been sacked 20 times

There are all kinds of ways that HH can improve as a QB. Can he be “coached up” to do it? If he is staying at QB I guess that means that Rhule and Co. believe he can be at least coached up to the level of serviceable back-up otherwise he would be changing positions.
