GIFs seem to no longer work

Was there a change that caused GIFs to just appear as a pic? Is this something that will be rectified?

Are you copying the gif, opening the picture tab, selecting the link/paperclip symbol, and then pasting?

Tried three different copy and pastes. One was copy image just like a pic and what use to work. Then I did a copy and past of the link, then a copy and paste of the URL. No go on all and to think I do IT for a living.

I guess I've only tried giphy and I see that is what this one is.

All came from the same link, once I clicked on remove BB code and then pasted the link it worked. I was always a fan of "What You See Is What You Get" WYSIWYG.
