Geep Wade and Lonnie Teasley

Yes you are Correct Sir! It's all a big circle, chain reaction, or dominos, whatever you want to call it. Head Coach Matt kept Donovan Raiola to help with Dylan. This caused the O-Line to continue underachieving. By letting Dylan go - the young man had NO sense of urgency in the Pocket and was very apprehensive to throw downfield - you are able to get rid of the worse postion coach on the team. Excellent choice to get Geep and Lonnie.

Donnie was OK in recruiting and coaching imo. Always the brides maid, never broke through.
Geep and Lonnie are proven history.
Looking back, we had a O line coach who insisted on coaching the run game, and it rarely panned out. I compare that to what Geep was doing to find what worked with what he had and made it happen is apples and oranges.
In his interviews he points this out, knew that his counter plays were big trouble for opposing Ds in the offense being run. He is next level imo

I really wish Rhule would’ve doubled up on O-Line coaches earlier. Bring in Wade make him the lead and have Donovan Raiola play the other role. And this should’ve been done two years ago.

1000% agree and this is THE only reason I believe we are an 8-win team this year.

Two keys to 8 wins this year are how the offensive and defensive lines perform. I have strong expectations on the offensive side and remain hopeful on the defensive side. I fully expect to see smiles form on my face watching the offensive line play this year.

Go Geep and his unit.

These two coaching hires may be the most impactful positive hires in recent memory.

The work they are doing recruiting, if matched on the field, makes me optimistic.
Agree 100%… funny, I’ve been posting the same thing nearly verbatim recently!

It’s unfortunate that it’s taken so long, but at least the Raiola issue(s) have been addressed. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Offense looks, and what they’re able to achieve this season. GBR!!

"OK" is the enemy of Great. We've been settling too long for guys who "get the job done." It's great to see coaches who demand more.
Just mt assessment, not meant to bash him, but truly draw a conclusion of results. He worked hard but didnt move things ahead, and imo, didnt get his lines going well until late in the season.
It took embarrassing games to get it going imo.
We want more, nothing wrong with that. And I'm not apologizing either, we've had more, we slipped under him, went from decent to OK.

I think our D-Line will be solid and better than last year but to me the key defensively will be (to me) scheme and sure-handed tackling. Play a scheme (1) that takes the run away first, (2) play press defense and (3) pressure the QB thru multiple ways.

Agree! Just goes to show you that these aggressive hires have the potential to DEVELOP players, unlike several position coaches on this staff. Now if they can only develop an offensive identity, like RUN THE DAMN BALL!
