One of my all-time favorite players....he got more out of his talent then probally anyone I have ever seen play the game...a joy to watch because he loved the game so much....we met him after an RSL game and he was gracious to pose for pictures, sign trading cards and talk about S. California we both grew up in....oh and Surfing.....:)

United States National Team defender Frankie Hejduk officially announced his retirement on Thursday. Hejduk won 85 caps with the National Team, playing in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups and missing out on a third World Cup in '06 due to injury.
