Sounds like they're referring to former OL Mark Pelini, and not HC Bo Pelini (legal name Mark).
I can't find a news article, but the Twitterverse is saying he was in a fatal car accident.

Passenger in Pelini's vehicle who passed was a high school teacher, as well. Thoughts and prayers for all those associated with that school who are no doubt going through a difficult time.
