I think this will be a large and important class due to the expected turnover. We lose Harper Murray, Bergen Reilly, Andi Jackson, and Laney Choboy after 2026. Also, not clear if the Italian, Virginia Adriano, will stay the full 3 years. (Adriano is 21 yrs old. I suspect she won't stay the full 3 yrs) That is potentially 5 of the 7 starters leaving after 2026.

This 2027 class will probably be fairly large, and I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of those 2027 freshmen play quite a bit.

I trust these newbies will fit right in. The only worry I have is if the loyalty of staying with one school continues for us.

The AD said earlier this week that Nebraska will likely lead the country in volleyball revenue share money. Combine that with THIRD PARTY NIL opportunities and VB popularity in Nebraska and DBK’s reputation, and I think we will be fine. I would think an OH, a Setter, a MB, and a Libero. 2028 is also supposed to be a great year for setters, so if we don’t get the top setter in 2027, maybe we wait as Flynn should be here through 2028. I don’t think you can predict what the portal will be like re transfers, as it looks like the post settlement era may actually slow down transfers with enforceable contracts— or not.

Nebraska took Malorie Boesiger, a setter and Maise’s sister. Rumor has it they said no to a higher ranked setter. I like that an instate athlete gets chosen.
Nebraska followed with Kendall Omoyuri, the top ranked Middle in the country.
They have two additional recruits as well. Though not announced yet, they are rumored to be the top ranked OH, Witherspoon, and a Libero named Laikona. All were reportedly Nebraska’s first choices at the four positions they wanted. Congrats to DBK and her coaches!!!

I think that higher-ranked setter was Sophee Peterson, correct? I saw that she committed to Texas A&M. I'm sure Boesiger the Younger is a good player, but I believe there is a very good setter in the '28 class that Nebraska has its sights on.

Nebraska is going to be absolutely stacked at the MB position. I hear incoming freshman Manaia Ogbechie is a stud player. Also, fellow 2025 recruit Kenna Cogill is supposed to be pretty good too. We also have 2026 recruit Keoni Williams, who was the top ranked MB in that class. The competition at the MB position is going to be fierce.

Shaye Witherspoon confirmed her commitment. Some services have her as the number 1 OH.
