1,000 extra practices could not help this team, players or coaches combined. We would just get better at losing. It will not change.
Lock up Coach Holgorsen for two years and let him set up an offense in the offseason that brings out the best in what our roster has. We forget he is still using Satterfield's playbook and languageIt's another Spring ball. How could anyone think that won't help? Another spring to work DH's offense. Get going guys reps with the 1's and 2's. Get those guys game experience as well.
There is no NCAA rule that limits bowl practices to 15. The later the game, the more practices we get. Those 15 extra practices WHICH WILL BE HUGE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF WHAT WILL BE A FAIRLY YOUNG TEAM NEXT YEAR
Expect the young guys (ie Red Shirts) to see extensive reps in 8-10 of those practices
The starters etc 5-6 extensive practices
Not to mention Dana will have 15 days to more implement his system
Despite the loss last night the positive of the 15 practices can'r be overstated
I don’t comment much, but how in the heck can you watch this team over the last 2 years and not see vast improvements? Some on here are saying coaches are not good and need to be replaced and that the players aren’t good enough to play for Nebraska. I suspect that 20 years from now today’s Alabama fans will sound a lot like Nebraska fans do today. Those fans from the 80s and 90s were spoiled by a generational coach much like Nick Saban was to Alabama. There is no amount of money that can bring in the next icon to Nebraska or anywhere else for that matter. College football has reached a parity level similar to the NFL. Just today 3 major upsets to include the buck eyes and Clemson. What I can’t understand is how we can ask a young man or a coach to come represent DONU and then spend numerous hours tearing down their dedication to the program from our couch. We have amazing players and coaches that spend countless hours representing this University, ask yourself how many hours do you devote to make your job/passion better…..would the world consider you a success, or someone that needs to move on!
Which one is the heavy drinking phase? That's the one I'm in.I can’t speak for everyone else, but I am at the anger phase of the 5 stages of grief.
Are you in the denial phase or have you advanced to the acceptance phase?
FYI:
According to Kübler-Ross, the five stages of grief are:
- denial
- anger
- bargaining
- depression
- acceptance

Except the thread is specifically about getting those 15 extra practices.I don't think those15 practices are nearly as critical to future success as other factors.
Bingo, we need our young receivers to step up and these practices are invaluable. The currents ones are very average. It's another Spring ball. How could anyone think that won't help? I can certainly say I have applied those five stages to those I have lost in my immediate family and those I went to war with and never came home with, but I can’t say I’ve ever applied that to a football program. I guess I would have to agree with others, drinking helps.I can’t speak for everyone else, but I am at the anger phase of the 5 stages of grief.
