The three tweets above for defensive players brings to mind various other players on the defensive side. I may be in the minority, but I actually think the defense will either match or maybe even outperform the offense this year. With the exception of OLB it looks to me like we have a pretty solid group ready to go this year.
There was an article in the World Herald this morning focusing on Caleb Tannor, it had a very positive spin to it, talked about he said that last year 'wasn't him' and that being healthy and lifting weights he feels he is much more like himself. We shall see but atleast he acknowledeged that he didn't play well and needed to improve.
I'm not sure if I believe they will be as good as the offense but I think they are going to surprise many. You just can't give enough credance to the fact that this defence is finally working in the same system and coaches two years in a row.
Add the reported s and c improvements and depth....I suspect we will have a significant drop in 1st downs and defensive schooling allowing the offense more opportunities.
