Bobby sure had some great teams over the years. They had great athletes and were very well coached. We even played them a few times in some hard fought games in Lincoln in the early 80’s.
I really enjoyed our conversations at the coach’s conventions over the years. Bobby was one of the good ones in college football and a close friend.
And with his dry/sly sense of humor Coach Osborne might have said something like “In the later years we were even fortunate enough to play them in Florida for a few bowl games.”

For comparisons between one Big 10 team with several other teams in a conference in the same general geographic region…the Illinois deal is more lucrative for a singe team than the Big 12 sponsorship deal with Monster Energy Drink for the entire conference.
For an extra $6 million a year, I can definitely see Nebraska looking into an obtaining a football sponsorship deal to help add additional funds to the athletic department.
Though it might not be as lucrative, I can see them looking into adding something to the volleyball uniform too.
