Yes he was. He's going to be a very good player. He was looking really good in the new Chasing 3, hopefully just a strain.
Whatever role Haarberg ends up with, I hope he gets a moment where he takes the field (whether in mop-up duty, or as a TE) and receives an ovation from the crowd. He wasn't an all-american last year, but he was a fighter who was willing to keep going back out there and take the shots and physical punishment he had to take. I appreciate him.
I remember a lot of message board experts stated HH was going to be simply QB2.
Rhule is on record saying HH could play other positions in the NFL.
I don’t think our TE depth is as deep as some believe. While thats likely true, do we think he's most needed elsewhere?
So we lose him to injury because he can catch a ball? Over leading the team to wins?I don’t think our TE depth is as deep as some believe.
But IMO this is more about an effort to get our best athletes onto the field. HH is without a doubt one of the team’s best athlete.
I suspect he’s going to play significant important QB snaps this year. But putting him into a glass container that says do not break unless there’s a QB emergency is also foolhardy.
I said it previously, if something were to happen to DR that had him unavailable for length of time, I think DK would be the one they'd step to. Even the NAIA kid could be a more complete answer at QB over a longer period. We can't turn the ball over with inaccuracy and we can't become single faceted offensively. If HH has improved so we aren't, fine, but if he's still not there, we'd need to go another direction. So we lose him to injury because he can catch a ball? Over leading the team to wins?
All I'm saying is, maybe next year when we have more depth, a red shirted DK and another frosh qb on board.
But we wont know until we know, and is why I said next year. If we can win with an improved HH thats what we'll do.I said it previously, if something were to happen to DR that had him unavailable for length of time, I think DK would be the one they'd step to.
