Well man, I’d love for you to be right. I just can’t drink it, yet. I’d like to see 3-4 qtrs of good play strung together, followed by 1-2 games strung together, followed by 3-4 games. It’s been 2 decades since we’ve seen really, fluid, don’t beat yourself type of football around here. What’s happened the past 5 years has just been even more awful than that. I just want some basic, fundamentally sound football, and if they can do that, the wins will come. It starts by stop beating, or aiding, in beating yourself. Go from there.

Even under Bo, the team beat itself so often. His record could have easily been 76-17, instead of 66-27. I mean, there were 10+ games where you were like, how tf did NU lose that game?

When you start winning those 10 games under Bo( I was at two of them Iowa State 9 ? fumbles and Virginia Tech last minute meltdown) you expect to win and you’re elite. Hopefully they’ll begin to dominate some opponents( Illinois, Indiana Northwestern, Purdue) and win the close ones this season.

As folks know D is always is ahead of the O at the beginning of camp its pretty much a given

I am OK with the D-line winning early in camp. If the o-line was winning I would have serious concerns because of the issues the o-line has had for the last what, 6 years? It's early in camp and there is a lot of time to improve.

I think our interior is a work in progress behind three guys, both Nash and Ty are good to great,depending on how Nash plays, but need that depth.
But our outside guys are, we will likely 3 really good ones there imo.
Same for all LB positions, need some depth, but very good.

Getting Teddy P up to speed against a better pass rush, or Bryce is exactly what we need, and on tape mind you, Raiola and Whip should complement styles here, and we should have good power, when we need it, but not just that.

We need those tackles to handle the fast rushers, we get that and we'llbe fine imo.

Virginia Tech x2. UCLA. 24-6 lead on Ohio State, only to lose by 40. I mean, there are 10-14 different games where that easily could have been wins.
