Everyone on ESPN keeps saying that Alabama "passes the eyeball test." This is the worst argument I've ever heard. I'd say Alabama failed the eyeball test WHEN THEY ALREADY LOST TO LSU. At home no less. Ugh. If Okie State doesn't play in the natty, there needs to be a revolution.

The eyeball test is lazy, lazy commentary. It's a purley opinion based reasoning, that is only used when stats don't add up.
 
I agree. The BCS motto is that every regular season game counts. Well, Alabama had their chance. It was a home game, it was late in the season, and there weren't any disputed calls/plays to call into doubt the outcome of the game. You could say that 'bama would have won had they made a couple field goals, but that's part of the game. They have a crappy kicker. I'm not an Okie State fan, but think they deserve the shot 'bama already had. I know I won't watch the national championship game if it's a rematch of LSU and Alabama.

I don't like rematches in bowl games, especially the MNC game. LSU beat Bama that should settle it. However, Okie St.'s Bad loss to Iowa St. eliminates them as a contender.
 
What we have to realize, is Iowa State is a team on its way up. Their coaches are really making the team play at a high level and are competing almost every week. They are a long way from what they were a year or two. Alabama had their chance, now give someone else a chance.

Really? Looks pretty stagnant to me.

2011 6 wins
2010 5 wins (excludes OT loss to NU)
2009 7 wins (includes bowl win)
 




They are on the verge, mark my words! They lost some really close games this year against some pretty good teams. They are almost over the hump. Next year they will have 9 wins.
 



Honestly, there is no need for a championship game this year. Just give LSU the trophy... they don't need to play another game to prove they are the best this year.
