All I can go by is what DH HAS done in the past.. He runs an air raid offense. Do you really think he is going to change the type of offense he has been running his whole career? He is KNOWN for air raid.

I heard an interview were he said that he doesn't run the same 'air raid' that he'd run at Tech. He morphed it, and continues to change it to fit the situation.

I get it that NU hasn't done squat for the last decade, but USC hasn't exactly been a juggernaut either.

I think EJ is another one in a long line of decent backs you list and is pretty easily replaceable with other decent backs. You’re right whoever we bring in will likely be overhyped though, just like he will be overhyped wherever he lands.

Devine was the last back we had that even sniffed the NFL unless you count Wandale. Until we have a system in place that produces 1000 yard backs again, we’re going to keep getting decent, replaceable guys who share a bunch of carries. I think DH will get better RBs here. He’s had plenty of 1K backs and he looks like a pretty clever run play caller to me.

Emmet is replacable. We can do better, but we could do worse. Its a big blow to lose him imo

Well, there is the fact that we have to go from 150’ish players to 105. Hard to fault players for taking the initiative in pursuing their own goals when there is no guarantee they will have a position with the team come Fall. Year two was disappointing to everyone. DH is planning to host 20-30 portal players for the purpose of upgrading the talent he has to work with next year. I admire loyalty as much as the next guy, but the world of college football has changed. Being loyal gets you nothing if you ultimately get cut from the team due to It makes no sense for a starter to hit the portal. This is now the 3rd. James Williams got significant playing time for his favorite football team. Emmett Johnson

So the word is he felt disrespected by Satterfield and that he was told he was the starting RB game one and as we know that didn't happen. Suppopsedly likes Dana and has over 20 offers Some of this was diccussed by Adam Carriker but I cannot watch the video so I don't know exact words

Saw what Adam Carriker reported. Sounds like EJ felt disrespected, maybe by MS? Also said not completely out of the picture for EJ to come back as he really likes DH. DH reached out to EJ. But sounds like the odds aren’t great of a return.

The current system isn't helping kids grow into resilient men who understand life isn't perfectly fair. Next man up.

Sounds to me like he earned respect. Outplayed everyone--we saw that in the games.

First time poster long time lurker of about 8 years. I decided to join because i always want to reply with information I've seen out there, sonl I decided to just join.

I don't know anymore than anyone else in here, in fact probably less...but i do follow all of Nebraskas YouTube social media guys Connor, Jon, Corn nation, Carriker of course and also Wilson.

I'll say this, I don't know Wilson at all, but i watch all of his videos and it does seem to me like allot of stuff he says is true or comes true. He claims to have friends on the team, and I know for a fact he talks alot to recruits and their families, he legitimately does.

Wilson claims in the video that he had permission to release this information directly from EJ and others on the team, which... could honestly be true and if it is, yikes... I don't know whether to hope it is or isn't true...
