Doc Sadler absolutely has to go

There is no sane person on this planet that can continue to believe that Doc Sadler is going to take NU basketball anywhere. Really no excuse for a team to be this bad. He might know basketball, but he is a horrendous recruiter and the program has regressed on his watch.

There's no thinking person that could possibly think Doc "10 Second" Sadler should stay.

I got home from work and it was 44-20 and I didn't bother watching too much after that. That is one horrible product to watch.

When NU was in the Big 12 I used to scour the tv listings hoping a game would be on that I could watch. Now, the team is on a lot and I can't even turn it to the channel without being disgusted and turning the game off. What a joke of a team. But hey, what do I know? I'm just one of the simpletons that can't see exactly how all the pieces are falling into place

Wow, this is getting bad. I doubt anyone expected NU to beat OSU, but at least show up. The game was literally over at halftime, since OSU had 44 points at the break. Wouldn't TO have to fire Doc, if things don't improve, just out of embarrassment?

Is recruiting part of coaching in the college ranks? Don't see how you can separate the two. And apparently you haven't been watching the Husker Off !

Coaching is not the problem...its recruiting that is the problem. Unfortunately, in college sports, the recruiting piece is absolutely critical. Doc has to go...no other option.

Recruiting and Coaching (skill development, game planning and in game leadership) are part of the HC's job. Some are better as one aspect or another. Some folks say that Callahan could really recruit well.

Coaching is ABSOLUTELY the problem. Sure, he's completely botched recruiting but even if he had gotten some good players he wouldn't know what to do with them. Seeing the product he puts on the court offensively leads most to believe that he simply doesn't know what to do at that end....his recent astonishing quotes about not wanting to shoot the ball with more than 10 seconds and how not taking a shot isn't so bad...that it's like "punting" PROVE he has no clue. He's pretty good on the defensive end...and that, maybe, makes him think he's "close" to what Bo Ryan is up to but he's so far off of that it's not funny.

The guy is simply a poor coach.

Not sure what the deal is.. he did a decent job at his previous location.. Winning 47-16 overall, but every since coming here he is 89–70... not good at all.

For one he was playing with Gillespie's recruits. Secondly, some guys are "mid major" coaches. Maybe Doc's one of those guys. Nothing wrong with that really...just unfortunate that NU has hired two of them in a row.
