Just received my deer tags for SC. With them came a warning to keep Chronic Waste Disease (CWD) out of SC. We can no longer use Natural Deer Urine as a lure. We can use synthetic options. First I've seen this in the 20+ years I've been here. Guess there is a correlation of natural deer urine and CWD.

I should be getting mine pretty soon as well. Maybe this is the year I actually use one.

I've had a combo license since I moved to SC in 2012 and have spent exactly zero days hunting. Bought new glass for my rifle in....2015, maybe....still haven't sighted it in.

I've gotta get a life.

I enjoy getting out an sitting on a stand, as long as the mosquitos aren't bad. listening to the different sounds, fresh air, and just watching. If I see a buck then good if not it was still a good time of relaxation.

I agree about the mosquitoes. For hunting purposes, it's great when we have an early frost followed by days that are warm in the daytime and cool at night.

Whenever you come out to NE for a game, bring along your rifle and swing up my way. I don't know if you've heard, but SD has a lot of wide open spaces, which work great for sighting in rifles. We also have a lot of prairie dogs and coyotes that God put on this earth for us to shoot.

I'm curious what scope you bought. You seem like a Leupold or Nikon kind of guy (which is a good thing).

Vortex Viper.

Had a similar scope on the .338 Lapua I sold and it was phenomenal.
