Conditioning video

I like some of his Quotes. Hope it bodes well for the future of Husker Football:

"Look at 1994, fourth quarter, the Orange Bowl. We're down. We scored 15 unanswered points. Warren Sapp is sucking air, can't breathe, on his knees, begging God for mercy, and the Husker offensive line, and we win that game, 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. 1997, I'll never forget when I got to the St. Louis Rams in 2007, Leonard Little came up to me, Super Bowl champ, Pro Bowler, and said, "Adam, I've still got bruises from that 1998 Orange Bowl game against the Huskers. That's the most physical game I've ever been a part of."

"Now Freedom Akinmoladun he talked about, he's never squatted so much in his life. He goes, "There's seven plates on each side, I don't even know how much weight that is." Well, to be exact, it's 675 pounds. I one time, in my entire life, one time did one rep at 700 pounds, the most I ever did. They're already, after one winter conditioning, doing 675 pounds, ladies and gentlemen. I do want to see the video, but that's very, very impressive. Nutrition has become very prevalent. They're very hands-on. It's like a race car when you're a high-level athlete. If you put kerosene in a race car, it doesn't matter how much you work with it, it ain't going to run right. Nutrition has become prevalent there, and it's making a difference."

Getting Excited!!!!:Woohoo2: GBR!

To add to this read Boyd Eppley's interview on the transition that started in the weight room that led to that 1994 team being in such great shape. it is an eye opening interview and must read.

Just read it. It was a good read for all 4. I like the quotes:

“The great ones adjust.”
“Champions are made when no one is watching.”
"It’s all a matter of attitude."

I like the point system they installed for missing workouts and practices:

"So we were looking for something that was fair no matter who you were: black or white, what part of the country you were from, whether you were a Nebraska guy or not, a senior, a freshman, a walk-on, a star player, an All-American, a Heisman player, it didn’t matter. This system was fair."

Early indications of the last strength program lead me to think that is what they were doing. Turns out just the opposite. This Staff seems to have that mentality top to bottom and Players remarks finally verify it is happening.
