Yes. Maybe you could chalk it up to nerves the first game, but he makes stupid comments…like suggesting a team might go for it on 4th down in a situation where it’s painfully obvious that’s idiotic. I don’t see him growing into it and suddenly becoming great.

He definitely pales in comparison to the other color guys out there
 
He's just... slow.

I don't mean like in a mentally retarded way, but he's not quick-witted. Hehe best announcers can think on their feet and fire off rapid comments that keep pace with the flow of the game.

Every time Colt said something interesting, he was about a play and a half behind the action.

Maybe if they just kept giving him an extra second he could be great.

He needed that extra second as a qb too….
 
Yeah, I think he is pretty bad right now, but isn't he rather new to this? So hard to listen to but I am giving him a pass for now. If he is still this bad next year that will change.
