"The 6-4, 200-pounder initially committed to the Ducks on June 18. However, due to the coaching change and interest in reopening his recruitment, Yankoff has informed Oregon that he will be pursuing other opportunities.
As a junior, Yankoff completed 271-of-400 passes for 3,129 yards, 27 touchdowns and 6 touchdowns. He also ran for 968 yards and 26 touchdowns on the season."

"Per 247Sports, Yankoff is the No. 101 overall recruit in the country, No. 5 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and No. 2 prospect in Idaho from the class of 2018."

"Colson's current offer list includes Duke, Boise State, Tennessee, Nebraska and others."

Colson Yankoff is not the kind of kid to tweet about himself so we will. @colsonyankoff Gatorade Football player of Year for Idaho!

  • His composite rating is higher than anyone currently committed in the 2017 class.
  • Also has offers from Texas Tech, Utah, and Washington State.

Interesting. Would be cool to add in a dual threat to the mix with Gebbia and POB just to give the coaches that option. Not that POB isnt a good runner, because he surely was his SR year when he needed to.

Wait what? Boundary or field side? Or no double meaning intended?

Its always best that your passing QB can take off and run and be a true weapon with his legs even if your offense doesn't focus on him being a runner with playcalling.

Good sign that he was offered, and the other's on the offer list don't appear super imposing. Long time for a lot of things to happen however.

OCDL just continues to lay the groundwork for future commitments. We've seen how important early relationships can be, as they've gotten us in on some big time talent.

Can't wait to see this kid Yankoff his first big run on a QB draw in front of 90,000 at Memorial Stadium.
