I really liked the tight end play and defense in this game. If I remember right, that was McCartney's suggestion for Nebraska to use the tight end more. I hope he was happy that Osborne took his suggestion and it worked out so well.

Why? Iowa shows a lot of tight ends and defense. You throw Beth Mowens on the broadcast and it's almost unwatchable.
Berringer had a great game, as did the entire offensive line. The real star that day was the defense. They just completely shut down Colorado. I think Colorado had the number 1 rated offense going into that game. I miss watching defense like that.

Why? I remember some of the great tight ends doing great things in Nebraska's past. I would like to see that again.
Why? I remember great defensive players going back to Wayne Meylan. That would be fun to see again on a regular basis.
I'm not throwing Beth Mowens anywhere. (I listen to the Husker Radio Network while watching the games on TV.)

I agree. We have opportunities this year with our tight ends. The room is a bit thin, but baring injuries, the room should be very productive.
