Colandrea

Ganz was not very fast at all. I think he was a 5.0 guy (of course that is faster than a huge cohort of young men - but not non-linemen in football) as was Zac Taylor. That said, both Ganz & Taylor had running plays to keep defenses honest. I actually think the last few games with DR that he started to run a bit more, and I felt like they needed to do so as defenses were taking advantage.

Jerry Tagge was no speed demon but a good threat to get four or five yards. Same with Warren Moon when he played for the Houston Oilers (we had an idiot running back - NOT Rozier) who hung Moon out to dry a number of times by going the wrong way, so Moon learned to just run out the play and turn up field and get what he could. Wound up being fairly effective..
AC kinda reminds me of a smaller McSorley from Ped St a few years ago. That kid could play. I will say he is a much more dangerous runner.

Just need to make sure he remains upright. Give TJ and Danny their reps

I 100% agree with this. I am not sure why AC was in the game the last couple drives.
I'm going to say with him being a new QB, they wanted to let him get his feet under him and get comfortable. I fully expect if we can jump up with a big lead in the next two games that they'll work the other guys in. I was honestly a little surprised Ohio moved to their 2's as early as they did. When we went up 21 the game was pretty much out of reach, but up until that point things were still a little uncomfortable.

All I am going to say is 0 sacks..... last year there would have been at least 5 sacks on our QB. This is not an exaggeration. Between QB mobility and better O-Line play I am confident this year is better than last.
I'll nitpick just a little here. We did have what was effectively a sack on the intentional grounding penalty in the 3Q. But your point is still valid. It was nice not seeing a bunch of missed assignments and I thought the run blocking was really good, albeit vs. Ohio. As good as the backs were for us, I thought a good chunk of the productivity started with some really good lanes the line opened up.

If our O-line is even average, let alone above average, I think it will be a big difference maker for us this season.

maybe he's like some old crazy dude in the subway barking out to no one in particular.
That description kind of actually fits his profile pic lol. Who the heck let that slip through the edit room lol?

AC makes the game a lot more fun to watch, that’s for sure. Looking forward to see what he can do the rest of the season.

I agree with your observations about CA, but I disagree with your alleged contrast dig at DR. I met DR twice, both at program events, and he displayed enormous patience and grace with the fans. One of the events was on a very hot early summer day, the guys had been outside mixing with the fans, it was hot, they were tired, and many of the players slipped away at earliest allowable opportunity. But Dylan waited until the entire line of kids wanting autographs and adults wanting selfies was done. He kept his smile on, and kept his energy up for the fans. To say that CA giving everyone high fives was "alone a HUGE upgrade over the former QB" is just not an honest take.
This event where he stayed to the very end was well documented. He was classier than our fans have been.

He was sacked twice in the first half.
