Coaches

If it’s not the age and the miles…it begs the question: why are you running so damn much?

It's part of a lifestyle that reward's physical pain by turning it into spiritual gain.

Think Marcus Aerelius or Stoicism.

Plus it helps keep my core strong, and I stay less concerned about things I can't control like Husker Football.

But, @Boji Husker has me prepping for the Bowl game now.
Whoohoo!

All I ever got from running was a side ache unless cherries were behind me. Lol

I run 5 miles a day and was feeling pretty good until your conversation reminded me I'm 59.

As Chris Le Doux once wrote " it ain't the age son, it's the miles".
You are now a friend of mine whether you like it or not. Anybody that can quote Chris Le Doux is top notch in my world. Need to get back to listening to him more, not that I listen to that much "country music" anymore.

LMAO....that's kinda cute that you think you could ever possibly hurt my feelings. I simply asked a couple questions (which you didn't answer, par for the course there) to see what the basis was for your enjoyment of posting on this board.

Others have asked you what your "solutions" are for the things you complain about, but as with most, actually having a solution to something perceived as wrong is a step too far.
The status quo is ridiculous and defies logic. More of the same please......on to next year ....thats right we will get them next year. One year is all he has then you watch if its a dumpster fire .....the torchs and pitchforks will be out. .....NIL roster moves will decide everything......then we will see if his coaches can coach because we know he can't.

Chris was a great inspiration for me and my Ag friends at Nebraska and Kansas State.

I don't pay much attention to the "new" Country but I do listen to Cody Jinks, Tyler Childers and Aaron Lewis.

I wonder what colors he will be wearing at the Frank Solich Bowl on Sept. 5. A combination of Red and Green?

I’m pleased that Solich was able to reconcile with the Huskers. He’s too big a part of our history to allow that schism to endure.

I have a harder time seeing Scott Frost reconciling some time in the future, but I wish it would happen. Frost the player has a place in my Husker heart.

Trev Alberts is the guy who I think will never really come back. He voluntarily burned it down with how he left. He had a destination job and the support of Big Red, but it wasn’t enough.

No he did not have the support. He was on a tight rope. There was a reason we hired so quickly as the process was underway before TA announced. TD was announced only 9 days after TAs resignation and done so without a boss in place as we had no president either. Identifying, vetting, interviewing and negotiations just don’t move that fast. Somebody knew something. I’m guessing Troy knew he was getting the job before Trev knew he was leaving.

I don't think this is the case. I remember Travis Justice did an interview with TD (because Travis and Troy knew each other for years from their time in Iowa) just shortly after Troy landed in Lincoln. Troy had just started his job (I think it was in Washington) when Trev left for A&M. Troy called Lincoln for the chance to move closer to his family in Iowa. I don't know what kind of vetting process took place, but I agree, it went quicker than I thought would be possible. I think the announcement for Troy came 1 week after Trev's announcement.

WTH happened to all of our coaches? Seems like when they arrive their brains are.sucked dry of football common sense.
The one good thing about the NIL Era is now we have a measurable to compare progress with ...INDIANA.....shape up fast or get out.
It really is the million dollar question. NU has really struck out with coaches to date.

Indiana did that with a ton of 2-3* players as well. Only six 4* players on their roster last year. It’s STILL amazing what they’ve done.

Peeds had him half way out the door. That might be their story but nobody vets someone, interviews multiple candidates,

Wow you represent the one that worked. How many coaches underperform last year? But you want to to compare us to the one that did. You are a consistent anti-MR. You might be right. But never sugar coat the hatred at him.
