Ruff, what was your take when they hired Sanders? I don't know. It just seemed like such a weird fit.
I would suppose that like you here, Buff fans are ready to move on..... Prime fatigue set in.
From the last 4 or so games last season through this game, Fickel has done pretty well. He has more wins over ranked opponents in that period than Rhule has in his NU tenure (if my math is right).
I think Aranda's fate was sealed with the failed 2 point attempt against Auburn. It was a foot short. Had he made it, the mood in Waco would be significantly better right now. Sometimes it comes down to those little plays here and there.
Still not quite sure why he went for it - overtime -was guaranteed with an extra point - but he went riverboat gambler on that one try.
When he was hired I was a little shocked. It did seem like a weird fit, but was cautiously optimistic. Especially bringing in Shedeur and Travis. I haven't always understood his choices to fill his staff. I do like his OC and DC this year. I believe JuJu Lewis is a 5* talent but doesn't fit Marion's GoGo offense. He is not a runner. A Colandrea type would be perfect in this offense. Salter was not a good fit under Shurmur's/Shedeur's system. He can't seem to get the system and talent to fit. We ARE better off than when he arrived, but Prime Fatigue is real with the Buff faithful.

Lincoln Riley is a rumored candidate at Baylor if he doesn’t survive USC and Aranda is fired.
Even with the lack of success at CU could you see Sanders in Tallahassee at FSU?
He’d bring his name but his lack of on field success would scare off a lot of people.
Due to health issues, I think he's done coaching after CU, whenever that is.

I don't see this happening, unless he starts winning. The Prime Shine has dimmed and only winning consistently will fix that.
USC would be happy about that, as it would significantly lower the amount they would have to pay him.
Dumbo Fisher says he wants the FSU job again. Could FSU be so stupid again? Likely not.
