Coaches and AP polls

Observations:

1) Undefeated BYU, Iowa State, Indiana are still behind several 1-loss teams

2) Undefeated Pitt not only behind 9 one-loss teams but 2 two-loss teams

3) 1-loss Notre Dame jumped 4 spots into top 10 and is likely a CFP participant at the moment

4) 2-loss Alabama in good shape; amazingly a 2-loss LSU despite getting blown out by aTm is at #16 and the next highest rated 2-loss team

5) 2-loss Colorado and Illinois in the rankings at #23 & #24.

6) 2-loss Missouri still in rankings at #25 despite getting shutout by Alabama.

Every week from preseason polls to present, Misery was/is big time overrated
Missouri plays a snake-bitten Oklahoma, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Arkansas. None of them are ranked. Missouri could finish regular season with only 2-losses and ranked. Maybe an NU bowl game opponent?

How did we get any votes after getting smoked by Indiana, but no votes after taking #4 OSU to the wire?

Does that make sense to anyone?

Not that I'm feeling like we deserve a ranking.... but that just doesn't math to me.
5-3 is still worse than 5-2. I’m sure there are a good number of 2-loss teams that aren’t ranked that should be ahead of NU.

Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota all have the same record as NU and arguments could be made they all should be ranked ahead of NU.

Now I understand that not exactly the point you’re making. Truthfully we probably shouldn’t have gotten votes last week. We are probably not as bad as the Indiana game and not as good as the tOSU game.
