Stumbled across this video this morning and ended up watching all of it. Scott is a helluva speaker and good man, obviously. It seems that others recognize that as well. The video is nearly an hour long. Some awfully good stuff in there about how Scott builds men and builds programs. It was definitely worth an off-season watch, to me.

Thanks for posting! I've only had a chance to watch the first few minutes, but it's definitely something I want to come back to.

Absolutely worth watching! Nebraska is truly blessed that this man came back to coach Husker football. Any parent wanting their son to be exposed to the values that make for a successful life would be thrilled to have him participate in a program led by Coach Frost!

Thanks for posting this. Respect for coach frost and his leadership went up a bunch after watching this He definateley has high character and the right values. I'm so pumped I Think i will bet the overs on wins of 8.5. for this year.

Wow, when I read that it was an hour I was thinking no way am I watching all of this. But once I started it I couldn’t stop watching. Now I am completely convinced that we have the right man leading the team and I have no doubt that we will be a force to contend with for many years to come.

Yep. Good thing Scott is a Nebraska homer because within a few years of producing good results here, guys with huge NFL $$ are going to be knocking on his door. I think we have at least a punchers chance of keeping him for a decade or more.

I took two things away from this talk, 1 football related an 1 non-football

1st and most important- The absolute humility and respect Scott gave to the military. More then once he said basically “This is what we do but it’s nothing compared to what you do”. Also how many times he said General when referring to Gen Hyten. It would be so easy for someone of Scott’s stature in the civilian world to discount our military leaders as nothing but government servants. Scott gets it.

2nd- In referring to his first 18 months on the job he had to let go 34 players, some he wanted to keep. That’s a massive amount of turnover. Some more publicized then others. Some high profile kids took off. Some highly rated recruits out of high school took off. Scott is looking for guys who can be coached and become part of a system and move on to greater success. Thrown in some winning seasons and getting some guys drafted and eventually more guys with 4+ stars that want to work and be coached will want to come here.

AMAZING!!!! I watched about 12 minutes this morning but had to hone in on work so waited until tonight to finish up. Truly enjoyable talk. I am very confident eventually Nebraska will be back in the elite. My analogy is what Dabo did at Clemson. It was a mid level ACC school when he took over. There was a point 3-4 years in when his team was 500 one year. However, he kept most of his staff around and persevered. I think Frost will do the same here.

Just watched it this morning.
Great find.
Enjoy listening to Coach Frost speak - very humble, yet not as finitely polished as TO and I like that.

Incredible watch!! He is honestly one of the few that get today's kids, and how to motivate and empower them. There are lessons in his speech we can all take and apply to our everyday lives.

I have a soon-to-be Junior son who plays wideout. Kid has all the tools and is light years ahead of most in terms of the technical aspects of the game. But like most kids, he doesnt yet know what being a true leader is all about. I told him this morning if he's interested and eager to ever wear a "C" on his Jersey, then all he has to do is spend the hour listening to Coach Frost. He provides the blueprint for every player and coach to get there. This is priceless video for so many reasons.

Thank you for sharing.

Yeah, I found last night and watched it, definitely worth the hour listen. Frost doesn’t just “coach speak” but gives you tidbits of how and why. Generally that’s how all his coaches speak, there’s usually a little of how they are achieving the results they are looking for.
