i am as well, just seen too many times coaches stick with experience...we certainly need some home grown (non juco) boys to develop into fine players and reeves and thurston seem to be the most likely, along with cotton..
You mean like Long has?
Thurston is not home grown. He's from Colorado. You may be thinking of Sterup.
i mean exactly like long, but we cant feel good about that one forever. it needs to continue every year with guys that we bring in out of high school (dont care if they are from nebraska or not). home grown at the university is what i'm referring to. patching in juco's can not be the norm. bring in any good players that we can the juco route, but developing them from high school forward has to be the bread and butter.
