Christian Jones named nation's top high school linebacker

Sure hope we can keep him signed as other schools will be dragging 100 dollar bills through his backyard! I honestly no longer consider any recruit solid until I see him playing/wearing a Husker uniform. We lost a hell of a good Nebraska LB to MEECHICKEN 2 years ago with E. Hausmann leaving. He was the starter this season at 6’2” 235 for pretty good Meechicken D. So I’ll wait and hope that Jones stays a Husker cause he sure seems like a special talent.

It's coaches team top two, then scheme. We can match the money. Someone wants to pay way above market and a player has money high on his list of whats important to him, we might lose him.

He came out and said that it didn't matter who the coaches were, he was committing to a school. He seems like a kid that will not be swayed by money, especially since he should be getting a fat NIL deal here as well.

Fat deals on money is all relative imo. You have schools bulging with NIL money like the sCUm! It’s easy to not be swayed by great financial deals when you don’t have yet. A kid now could be almost set for life before he leaves college with NIL money. It’s been my experience that some people will do anything when money is involved. I’m simply saying if anyone thinks there aren’t extremely predatory schools that will wave million dollar NIL deals for someone that’s rated where Jones is right now. Yea we know that schools themselves aren’t supposed to be involved with NIL but... :Rolf: :rofl: Kid looks be a very talented player and I hope he’s not enticed away...
